This Christmas, I am really trying to reduce the amount of physical gifts I am buying this year. One reason for this is to try and reduce waste with wrapping as well as reducing the amount of stuff we have that we don’t use or need. I also really like the idea of giving and receiving experiences that we can do either as a couple or a family. I thought I would put together a little list of the non-physical Christmas gifts that I would love to give or receive this year!
Theatre Tickets: I am a massive theatre fan so I think tickets are the perfect gift for anyone. There are so many different theatre experiences, from musicals to ballet and plays. There is something for everyone and it is such a nice thing to be able to treat someone to a day out and spend some time together.
Meal Vouchers: Again, along the same lines as the theatre tickets, I love the idea of giving meal vouchers as a present. This could be for a meal out, or something as simple as a hand drawn or designed token that can be redeemed for a nice meal at home. This is a really good gift idea if you are on a budget and want to set aside some quality time together with a loved one.
Escape Room Voucher: This one is definitely something that seems to have become very popular in the last couple of years. Every town appears to be getting some sort of escape room and they come in all sorts of different themes. A gift voucher for this type of experience would be really good if you wanted to buy something for a group of friends or family as it is a brilliant team bonding activity and would get you all working together.
Experience Vouchers: This one is a little more generic as there are sooooo many different types of experience vouchers. You can find them for pretty much any activity, from car racing and indoor skydiving to wine tasting and craft classes. There are so many choices that there is bound to be the perfect gift for everyone, and at a range of price points.
Spa Days: Another favourite of mine is a spa day voucher. These are usually for two people and can come with extra treatments or these can be booked separately. This sort of voucher is great if you want to book in some time together away from work and the stress of everyday life and get away for a few hours.
Have you got any ideas for non-physical gifts for Christmas? I would love to add some ideas to my list!
